At Dirigo Physical Therapy & Performance, we want to instill the importance of good training habits. With our CrossFit movement analysis, we perform a four-step evaluation to assess mobility, strength, and functional movement quality. This provides a baseline of your performance in order to improve fitness, performance, and decrease injury risk.

Our physical therapists offer the unique skill set of combining medical knowledge with high level performance coaching in order to maintain a longevity of physical fitness.

Assess for Success

Four-Step CrossFit Movement Analysis:

Step 1: Range of Motion Assessment
Step 2: Strength Assessment
Step 3: Movement Analysis
Step 4: Functional Diagnosis

Range of Motion Assessment

The range of motion assessment provides information about your flexibility and mobility across the major joints in your body and allows us to make note of any areas of pain. From this groundwork, we are able to make a customized plan for your needs and craft your workouts appropriately.

Strength Assessment

The strength assessment involves using both a handheld dynamometer and functional strength tests to identify strength and movement imbalances in your body. In addition, it assists in determining where your biggest opportunity for improvement are within your workouts and your day to day activities.

The functional movement analysis involves assessing several core movements and movement concepts that are commonly performed in CrossFit workouts. This movement analysis is utilized in conjuction with the strength or mobility assessments to identify imbalances/deficiencies. This ultimately leads to a FUNCTIONAL DIAGNOSIS.
