National Physical Therapy Month

October is National Physical Therapy Month, and there’s no better time to recognize the vital role physical therapy plays in keeping high school athletes healthy and performing at their best — especially during the heart of the fall sports season. From football and soccer to volleyball and cross-country, fall athletics place intense physical demands on young athletes, making injury prevention, recovery, and performance optimization more important than ever.

At Dirigo Physical Therapy, we specialize in working with athletes through every stage of recovery; whether they’re bouncing back from a sprain, strain, or surgery. Our goal is not just to treat the injury, but to understand the demands of the sport and help each athlete return safely and confidently. Using individualized rehab plans, strength and mobility training, and sport-specific return-to-play protocols, we ensure athletes are fully prepared to rejoin their teams.

As fall competition heats up, we also focus on helping athletes stay in the game. Through movement assessments, injury prevention programs, and performance coaching, we work to reduce risk and enhance resilience. This National Physical Therapy Month, we’re proud to support our local athletes in moving better, recovering smarter, and coming back stronger.

If your athlete is recovering from an injury, dealing with nagging pain, or looking to improve performance, now is the time to act. Book a comprehensive evaluation with our team and let us help your athlete stay strong and game-ready this fall.
