What conditions does physical therapy help with?

Do I need a referral to start physical therapy?

In most cases, you do not need a referral to start physical therapy in Maine, but check with your insurance provider for specific requirements.

Our clinic is centrally located in downtown Portland at 561 Congress Street.
From 295, take the exit for Forest Ave South. Continue up the hill to Congress. Take a left and you’re here.
We have a secure entry system. The code to the door is 2580#, or you may ring the doorbell and we will open it.
There is street parking on Congress St, Oak St, and Forest Ave as outlined in the accompanying graphic.
There is ample parking in the parking lot behind our building, located at 11 Forest Ave., for a discounted hourly rate $4 for 1 hour. Please ask a staff member for a parking pass before leaving.
When you arrive at the clinic, please check in at the appropriate station.
If you are a new patient or here for a massage, strength and conditioning, or nutrition appointment, use the computer directly to your right when you enter.
If you are a returning patient, you can either check in using your mobile device or use the iPad provided.

Our clinic is located within the Saco Mills, in the River Gate building.
If entering from the front of the building (110 Main Street), take the elevator and press 1A. Exit the elevator and go straight, then bear a slight left and walk past CrossFit Rising Tide. Our door is at the end of the hall under our logo.
If parking in the lower lot, make your way to the main stairs/elevator near the covered parking. Take the elevator up to the mezzanine, walk outside to the side entrance of the mill. We are the 2nd door on the left.
There is ample free parking in the front and side surface lots free of charge. If the lot in front of the building is full, parking is available at the lower lot, accessible by entering the next entrance downhill, at Run of the Mill.

Checking In For Your Visit

- Are a new patient
-Are a client for any service other than PT
-Have billing or scheduling questions
- Need assistance or do not wish to use the iPad
Self Check-In

All physical therapy patients can self check-in by using our iPad stations or on their cell phone.
Scheduling, payment, and paperwork are all available at these stations.
