The Evaluation
Your initial evaluation will involve a 45 minute appointment with one of our physical therapists to discuss your current injury, your past medical history, and your goals for physical therapy. Time is spent assessing functional movements, range of motion, strength, and a full systems review. Our goal is for you to feel clarity after your assessment in terms of what your rehabilitation will look like and how we will achieve your goals.
The Process
Each physical therapy appointment 1-on-1 and is individualized to achieve your goals. Based on your goals and areas of impairments found in your initial evaluation, we will work together to develop a rehab plan that is specific to your goals. Typically, this involves a blend of hands-on manual therapy and progressive exercise.
The Result
Your goals are our goals. Through a progressive physical therapy plan of care, we will create a comprehensive exercise program for you in order to maintain your new level of function. Whether it is returning to day to day activities, work duties, recreational activities, or sport, your rehabilitation will focus around getting you back to what you love to do and promoting overall health and wellness.

Saco, Maine
Saco, Maine is a coastal town that blends small-town charm with easy access to nature and the ocean. Home to around 20,000 residents, Saco offers a tight-knit community vibe with a rich history and a growing population. While the town is rooted in traditional New England values, it has also become home to an increasingly diverse community, drawing families, young professionals, and those looking for a quieter pace of life without being too far from Portland or other bustling areas.
Saco experiences four distinct seasons, with warm summers in the 70s that are ideal for hitting the nearby beaches or exploring the many parks and trails. Winters bring snow, making the town perfect for cold-weather activities like ice skating and snowshoeing. Fall is particularly stunning, with the changing foliage creating a colorful backdrop for outdoor adventures.
Sports are a key part of the community, with hockey, soccer, and basketball being especially popular. Thornton Academy, the local high school, plays a central role in the town’s athletic and academic life, with its strong sports programs drawing support from all corners of the community.
For recreation, Saco residents love the outdoors, whether it’s kayaking on the Saco River, biking along scenic routes, or hiking through the nearby trails. In the summer, Ferry Beach and other local spots are popular for swimming and relaxing by the water. Saco also benefits from its proximity to professional sports teams in nearby Portland, like the Sea Dogs, Maine Celtics, and Mariners, giving locals the chance to catch games without venturing far.
Saco’s food scene leans toward fresh, local offerings, with seafood taking center stage. The nearby coastal dining options offer everything from casual lobster shacks to sit-down restaurants with ocean views. Overall, Saco’s mix of natural beauty, historical charm, and community spirit make it a fantastic place to live and explore.
Saco has a rich history as a mill town, with its industrial roots tracing back to the 19th century. The town’s location along the Saco River made it an ideal spot for the development of textile mills, which became the backbone of the local economy for many decades. These mills, along with others in nearby Biddeford, employed thousands of workers and helped shape the town’s identity. The towering brick mill buildings still stand today as reminders of Saco’s industrial past, many of them now repurposed into residential lofts, offices, and creative spaces. While the era of textile production has passed, Saco's mill town legacy continues to influence its character and development, blending history with modern growth.
