Lloyd Beckett, DPT, SCS, ATC, CSCS
Owner/Founder, Physical Therapist
Dr. Beckett returns to his home state, having spent the majority of his career optimizing the health and performance of elite athletes across the country.
Prior to founding Dirigo Physical Therapy and Performance, Lloyd was the Head Athletic Trainer and Lead Physical Therapist for the Brooklyn Nets NBA franchise, after spending two seasons as the team’s director of physical therapy. He was awarded the NBA’s Assistant Athletic Trainer of the Year award in his first season with the team. Before joining the Nets, he worked with the U.S. Marine Corps Special Operations in North Carolina as a physical therapist, and he also spent two years as a physical therapist at the Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Institute in Nashville.
The Falmouth, Maine native has also spent time with the Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers, New England Patriots, Providence College Friars, and Brown Bears. He received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy degrees from Northeastern University, and a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Bridgewater State University. He is also recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as a Sports Specialist, and holds the Certified Strength and Conditioning Credential.
Lloyd and his wife, Chelsea, enjoy exploring the beautiful Maine outdoors with their two sons, Logan and Tobias.
Brianna Stagg, PT, DPT
Performance Physical Therapist
Prior to becoming a Performance Physical Therapist at Dirigo Physical Therapy and Performance, Brianna was working in Portland at OA Centers for Orthopaedics for 3 years. She has a high level of competency in post-surgical and athletic population in all musculoskeletal injuries. In 2012, she received her Bachelor’s in Applied Exercise Science from the University of New England. She attended Franklin Pierce University and graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2015. Brianna has competed in Women’s Physique Bodybuilding and enjoys treating this very active population, as it where her passion lies. Brianna and her fiancé, Collin, enjoy spending time with their dogs, going hiking, golfing and exploring the outdoors in New England.
Mallory Morin, PT, DPT
Performance Physical Therapist
Prior to starting at Dirigo, Mallory received her undergraduate degree in Applied Exercise Science from the University of New England in 2016. She continued on to graduate school at UNE and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May 2019. Having a strong passion and background in exercise science, Mallory enjoys blending her clinical practice around progressive therapeutic exercise and manual therapy to return patients to their fullest potential and prevent future injuries. Her clinical experience includes treating patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions of the spine, shoulders, hips, and knees. Being active and participating in sports starting at a young age, Mallory enjoys working with patients and athletes to promote healthier, stronger, and more active lifestyles.
Outside of work, Mallory enjoys running, cycling at Rêve, cooking, and exploring the local Portland food scene.
Nakita Baldic, ATC, LAT
Nakita (Niki) Baldic joins Dirigo Physical Therapy and Performance while still serving as the Head Athletic Trainer at Waynflete School. Niki graduated from Castleton State College with a BS in Athletic Training and a second major in Health Science. Niki also earned minors in biology and coaching at her time at Castleton.
Following graduation, Niki continued her career as an athletic trainer in an injury prevention outreach program, Play It Forward Program at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, FL while serving as a PRN athletic trainer for area high schools under Cora Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. Niki also served as a Sports Medicine Specialist as part of the National Training Center of South Lake Hospital, in Clermont, Florida. She feels very fortunate to have worked with athletes as Head Athletic Trainer at Montverde Academy and as an athletic trainer at ESPN Wide World of Sports, and the Industrial Athlete, Inc.
Overall, Niki believes in helping others reach their full movement potential. She enjoys helping those of all abilities and ages achieve their physical goals. We all have the ability to become better than we were the day before; courage to act and do our best today for a better tomorrow can be accomplished.
Being outdoors, kayaking, sailing, hiking, biking, picking up new hobbies with others are some of the reasons Niki chooses to be in Maine.
